26 weeks … 14 to go

Thanksgiving 2009

The table.

The turkey. (22 lbs.)

The Augie. (approx. 22 lbs.)

Around this time next year, it’s funny to think there will be another Augie-turkey sized little person, details TBD.

Smiley Pomegranate!

I am so lucky to have extremely talented friends and family … the most recent beautiful handmade items above came from my sister-in-law, whose work is at Smiley Pomegranate and in her Etsy shop. The pawprint “lovey” and larger blanket are hand-dyed, and made from organic cotton/bamboo. Check them out!

Twelve pounds

This is what 12 pounds of clothes looks like — now THAT is a stellar package to get in the mail. Thank you, Joann, for the expanded, new-and-improved winter wardrobe!

Happy birthday!

Happy birthday to Uncle Anders. Note the lack of a written-on-the-cake birthday greeting and the sneaky “birthday” candle.

For his birthday, Anders put together the table we ate on.

And no doubt about it — they’re brothers (who very much like to keep track of every receipt.)

Things I miss right about now

And unfortunately – some of these seem unlikely to change anytime soon.

  • Sleep.
  • Energy.
  • My waist. (And being able to reach everything I drop on the floor.)
  • Being able to actually run. (There is nothing better in the fall. And Riley agrees.)
  • Turkey sandwiches.
  • Brie.
  • A glass of wine with dinner.
  • Sushi.
  • Clothes that fit – and don’t have ties.
  • Advil.
  • Unlimited coffee or Pumpkin Spice Lattes.
