What MaFondz did

Give her two days and she’ll:

  • Inventory all baby items received, sort by type, separate returns and prioritize what’s missing.
  • Return duplicates and purchase anything missing needed for the first, oh, six months.
  • Wash and fold countless baby items covered in turtles, frogs, ducks, dogs, etc.
  • Clean and assemble toys, bedding or other new gifts.
  • Break down recyclables from all new items — enough to fill a store — and take outside.
  • Order a fancy glider and ottoman.
  • Keep 200-pounds of interested dogs at bay.
  • Cook and freeze several meals.
  • Get never-been-used-since-we-lived-there ice machine cranking.
  • Get new coffee maker in working order.
  • Wash never-been-washed shower curtain and replace liner.
  • Conduct house walk-through for additional household items to be fixed … so Dad has something to do when he comes to visit in March.

I’m sure I forgot some — but just re-reading the list is wearing me out. Thank you, Mom!
